About the role
- Financial Systems Functional Analyst providing oversight for Data Governance in GFS applications. Supporting project goals and facilitating data changes with a focus on financial systems in India.
Responsibilities
- Provide Data Governance oversight, facilitate data changes and support the project goals for the Global Financial Systems roll out, enhancements and maintenance
- Assisting/facilitating Data Value changes in the GFS application(s) for business users and data custodians
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly documentation and analysis of GFS data
- Assist in completion of GFS project tasks, including testing, analysis and documentation of new and existing processes to enhance the already existing governance rules over data
- Identify key areas where governance can be improved and produce proposed solutions to identified issues
- Maintain the Data Dictionaries, and make updates where needed, or changes to the Data Properties are required
- Preparing presentations to stakeholders explaining Data Governance progress, initiatives and expectations
- Provide root cause analysis where errors are noted, or data issues are presented
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or systems support
- 1+ year of experience/involvement in implementation of systems/applications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
- 1+ years of experience with IT Security
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial systems
- Strong proficiency in MS Office suite of products, including robust Excel skills to process and present data
- Ability to translate/process raw data from applications/systems and produce presentable ‘digestible’ conclusions from data
- Strong communication, presentation and organizational skills
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Effective communicator and team collaborator, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
- Ability to work independently and identify areas where work needs to be completed to assist team
