About the role

  • Lean Manager responsible for improving process flow and driving automation in assembly and manufacturing at ASSA ABLOY. Ensuring implementation of Lean principles and managing production their performance.

Responsibilities

  • Improve process flow in assembly, manufacturing, and other core processes.
  • Lead automation implementation using Lean principles (Flow, TAKT, SMED, 5S, and Value Analysis) to reduce costs.
  • Project-manage manufacturing projects, including new factory layouts.
  • Manage and communicate production and process performance data and KPIs.
  • Conduct studies of production flows.
  • Define and implement changes and improvements, assessing the best viability and profitability.
  • Implement tools and KPIs for Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen).
  • Work with OEE/TPM/VAVE to improve overall processes and products.
  • Coordinate methods and maintenance tasks related to Lean activities.
  • Ensure that ASSA ABLOY Lean standards are applied across all sites.
  • Collaborate with production on cost reduction, productivity improvement, and evaluation of changes to optimize processes.
  • Control investments for Lean and Automation projects or improvements to ensure alignment between expenditure and results.
  • Define and monitor operational KPIs needed to improve OPEX performance in Lean categories.
  • Develop the internal Lean training plan and train teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Trained in Lean Management and Continuous Improvement tools
  • Minimum 5 years' experience
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English
