About the role
- Supply Chain Co-op at Arthrex involving purchasing, inventory control, and production planning in orthopedics. Gaining practical experience in supply chain duties for Fall semester.
Responsibilities
- Reviews MRP outputs daily to ensure all required actions are taken – planned orders, expedites, de-expedites cancels, etc.
- Limits backorders of any assigned parts while communicating backorder information to internal departments.
- Maintains and reviews Forecast vs. Actual sales for assigned products.
- Distributes Engineering Change Requests to the suppliers and review disposition of existing and in-process inventory.
- Discusses defective goods and services with inspection or quality control personnel internally and externally to ensure corrective action is taken.
- Prepares and reviews quotes provided by suppliers.
- Creates POs for inventoried and MRO purchases.
- Receives PO receipts of non-inventoried goods, invoice approval, MRO purchases.
- Interacts with all Arthrex subsidiaries/Quality/IT/Finance departments.
- Works closely with Production Managers, Engineers and off-site Supply Chain teams.
- Plans/releases work orders for final production.
- Processes and documentation review/updates.
Requirements
- Pursuing Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related major required, or a recent graduate. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)
- Purchasing, Manufacturing and/or MRP experience preferred.
- Full working knowledge of purchasing concepts.
- Good organizational, financial and negotiation skills.
- Working knowledge of SAP or compatible MRP systems preferred.
- Microsoft Office/Windows.
- MRP software.
- Power BI experience preferred.
