About the role
- Junior Specialist in Supply Chain Dispatch involved in preparing shipping and customs documentation at West. Ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and supporting logistics operations in Germany.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of all relevant shipping, customs, and foreign trade documentation
- Communication with freight forwarders and customs authorities
- Documentation of shipments from Germany within and outside the EU
- Responsibility for handling outgoing parcel services and sample shipments
- Execution of customs import clearance procedures
- Review and approval of freight invoices and customs tax assessments
- Monitoring and supporting the achievement of monthly revenue targets
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training with relevant experience in the shipping/logistics field
- Very good knowledge of shipping and customs regulations
- Good knowledge of foreign trade regulations
- Solid knowledge of MS Office and SAP (MM/SD modules)
- Experience with customs software applications from AEB GmbH is desirable
- Valid Class B driver’s license
- Good written and spoken English skills
