About the role

  • PP&C Manager overseeing planning and control functions for NASA's Artemis mission. Leading a team and ensuring compliance and performance of PP&C organization at KSC.

Responsibilities

  • Support the PMO and PM with program management activities, process development, leadership, and strategy
  • Lead, plan, and direct a team of professionals working in PP&C functions including, but not limited to, configuration management, board support, IT/software development, strategic communications, scheduling, export control, and risk management
  • Manage approximately 40 PP&C employees and subcontractors and develop and mentor junior employees, to facilitate their future growth
  • Create personal development plans for individuals in your team, and recruit internally and externally when necessary
  • Ensure performance, compliance, and sustained process improvement initiatives within the PP&C organization
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers and internal stakeholders, including NASA EGS Leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree
  • Experience of working with project managers and engineers throughout the project life cycle
  • Strong understanding of the PP&C disciplines, with relevant experience at NASA
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a minimum of 5 years previous proven line management experience
  • Experience in facilitation techniques, preferably with a Six Sigma green or black belt certification
  • Able to work five days a week (M-F, 8-5) onsite at KSC
