About the role

  • Labour Compliance Manager ensuring organization complies with employment legislation across the UK and Europe. Overseeing audits and maintaining high ethical standards in labour practices throughout data centre construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret labour laws, employment regulations, working time rules, wage standards, and industry-specific labour requirements.
  • Ensure policies, contracts, and HR practices comply with all statutory obligations.
  • Advise leadership and operational teams on labour compliance issues and regulatory changes.
  • Plan and conduct internal labour compliance audits across operations and suppliers.
  • Identify non-compliance areas and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain records of all audits, findings, and remediation plans.
  • Implement labour compliance policies, procedures, and frameworks.
  • Ensure consistent and fair application of labour-related policies across the organisation.
  • Evaluate supplier and contractor adherence to labour standards, including right-to-work, health and safety, and ethical employment practices.
  • Manage third‑party assessments and due diligence processes.
  • Support supplier improvement plans and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Provide guidance on labour issues such as working conditions, overtime, grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Partner with HR and operations to resolve labour compliance concerns.
  • Support investigations into workforce-related complaints or incidents.
  • Deliver training sessions to managers and staff on labour laws, ethical practices, and labour rights.
  • Create awareness materials to reinforce compliant working environments.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on compliance status, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed and secure documentation of audits, incidents, and workforce records.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of employment law, labour regulations, and ethical labour standards.
  • Experience in labour compliance, HR compliance, or workforce auditing.
  • Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong ethical judgement.
  • Degree in Human Resources, Law, Business, or a related field.
  • Time served experience in labour compliance, HR, workforce planning, or risk management roles
  • Experience in supply chain labour compliance or contractor management. (Desirable)
  • Certification in HR, employment law, compliance, or ethical labour practice. (Desirable)
  • Experience in sectors with regulated labour practices (e.g., construction, manufacturing, logistics, facilities management). (Desirable)
