About the role

  • Contract Administrator overseeing construction projects, managing contracts, and ensuring compliance at Arcadis. Collaborating with clients, contractors, and teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the successful execution of construction projects by managing contracts, monitoring project progress, and ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
  • Acting as a liaison between clients, contractors, internal teams, and stakeholders, while addressing technical, contractual, and project-related issues to safeguard client’s best interests.
  • Administering contract documentation, coordinating multi-disciplinary reviews, managing change orders, and ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.
  • Reviewing progress payment claims, preparing payment certificates, and addressing claims for additional work by preparing and negotiating contemplated change notices and change orders.
  • Overseeing the shop drawing review process, managing documentation flows, and holding contractors accountable for revisions to maintain accuracy.

Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering or a diploma in Engineering Design, Construction, or Construction Management (or equivalent) from an accredited institution, with 5-10 years of progressive construction experience.
  • Background in consulting engineering or construction firms, with expertise in multi-discipline design coordination, construction project management, and client liaison.
  • Familiarity with water/wastewater treatment facility design and construction, along with experience administering various forms of construction contracts, including documentation, change management, and project closeout.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with proven leadership abilities and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, and experience with start-up and commissioning of mechanical systems or post-construction warranty services is considered an asset.
