About the role

  • Assistant Pipeline Engineer at Arcadis designing pipeline infrastructure and producing detailed engineering documentation for projects globally. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with design standards.

Responsibilities

  • Apply technical engineering techniques and methods using international design standards such as Australia, UK, US, and Middle East Design Codes, Council standards, Client specifications and briefs.
  • Reviewing/producing detailed calculations, drawings, and reports to support key pipeline design project deliverables such as: Hydraulic calculations, Pipe wall thickness, P&IDs, Construction maps/Pipeline Key Plans, Pipeline Alignment Plans Right-of-Way (ROW)/alignment planning, General arrangement and isometric drawings, Trench, crossing, alignment, tie-in drawings and typical details, Bill-of-materials Bill of Quantities
  • Ensuring the production of project documents are accurate, clear and concise, and compliant with the standards, local rules and regulations, industry best-practice, and other quality standards dictated by the nature of the project.
  • Prepare the project's detailed design.
  • Conduct internal review and quality checks of engineering drawings and design calculations to ensure compliance with the project's requirements
  • Participating and resolving technical design issues
  • Liaise with other disciplines within the Energy and Resources Project Team for coordination and ensure all requirements are understood.
  • Regularly liaise with the Senior and Principal Pipeline Engineers to keep informed of all developments or changes associated with the project.
  • Deliver technically complete design documentation, summary reports and technical reports meeting the Client objectives and Arcadis system requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience as a pipeline designer
  • Experience in the production of CAD documentation utilising SmartPlant P&ID, AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, etc.
  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or relevant degree from recognized University.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent mathematical skills applied in engineering calculations.
  • Ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegating skills
  • Organizational skills and proactive approach in project management
  • Actively continue to develop personally and technical knowledge and new emerging technology through regular CPD training.
