Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting schedules prepared by the team.
- Oversee preparation of internal and external financial reports.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce internal control policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
- Lead financial audits, including preparation and coordination with external auditors.
- Implement improvements to accounting processes, increasing accuracy and efficiency.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, including AP, AR, GL, and payroll support roles.
- Oversee cash management activities, including bank reconciliations and cash forecasting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- VAR experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) and proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and motor vehicle insurance.
