About the role

  • Project Delivery Manager overseeing new water main installation projects for development sites in the North of the region. Collaborating with various teams for efficient project execution while ensuring compliance and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new water main installation projects for development sites across the North of our region.
  • Work closely with the Project Delivery Coordinator managing the lifecycle of a project.
  • Collaborate with the Pre-Construction Team to provide industry leading design standards.
  • Work collaboratively across all Developer Services Teams and contract partners to establish smooth workflow processes.
  • Maintain overall accountability for the entire project.
  • Support Developers through construction activities, ensuring compliance with Construction (Design & Management) Regs 2015 and Water Quality practices (POSWSH).
  • Ensure all new assets are installed and commissioned to Anglian Water’s minimum asset standards.
  • Oversee the effective handover of commissioned mains to operational colleagues.
  • Deliver the most cost-effective solution that allows the company to live within determination.
  • Manage project expenses ensuring costs are controlled within budget by verification of contract partner service item claims and third-party invoices.
  • Carry out a full reconciliation of costs at project completion stage comparing planned versus actual costs.

Requirements

  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent (preferably in a relevant subject such as Engineering)
  • Significant Project Management and commercial awareness
  • Experience of identifying, developing and managing new business opportunities.
  • Sound Understanding of Construction Design Management
  • Ability to build excellent customer relationships and possess strong negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt and change and to think strategically and analytically.
  • Utility knowledge desirable
  • Knowledge of water fittings and materials or similar
  • Attention to detail coupled with excellent time management and strong IT skills are key
  • Ideally looking for experience in all Microsoft Office packages
  • A water distribution engineering background would be an advantage.
