Responsibilities
- Define and implement a practical data governance model where multiple systems generate the same categories of data
- Establish clear ownership, definitions, and accountability for core data domains
- Ensure consistency, quality, and trust in data while preserving product and engineering velocity
- Balance local autonomy with global standards across products and regions
- Own end-to-end data pipelines from source systems into a central data repository
- Standardise ingestion, transformation, validation, and monitoring across the platform
- Enable internal reporting and analytics for leadership, product, commercial, and operational teams
- Own Alpega’s data science function and algorithmic capabilities
- Act as Alpega’s AI and algorithm champion, focused on applied, practical use
- Build and lead a high-impact data organization spanning data engineering, analytics, and data science
Requirements
- Senior data leadership experience in a complex B2B SaaS, platform, or marketplace environment
- Strong background in data governance, data platforms, and analytics
- Proven experience owning and scaling production-grade data science and algorithmic systems
- Ability to translate complex data and algorithmic concepts into business and product outcomes
- Hands-on mindset with a bias for execution and accountability
- Experience applying AI in real-world engineering or product contexts.
