About the role

  • Executive Director guiding policy and legislation for Alberta's Assisted Living services. Overseeing strategy, providing advice, and leading a team for effective government support in health transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees activities involving strategy and proactive policy analysis
  • Provides strategic advice to Senior Officials and elected officials
  • Guides the achievement of objectives related to ministry goals
  • Builds relationships and key alliances with other governments and stakeholders
  • Supports a collaborative and integrated approach to achieving government goals.

Requirements

  • Senior leadership with extensive experience in policy development and legislative environments
  • Skilled in developing evidence-based policy recommendations
  • Proven ability to navigate complex challenges
  • Comprehensive understanding of citizen-centred policy models
  • Familiarity with Government of Alberta decision-making processes
  • Exceptional communication skills.
