About the role

  • Finance Coordinator at AIT Worldwide Logistics managing accounts payable and financial statements. Collaborating with internal teams and ensuring compliance with Turkish laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial figures, considering internal group requirements and in conformity with local Turkish rules and regulations and European integrity standards
  • Create organized records and files to assist in tax preparation
  • Responsible for working with internal departments as well as external partners
  • Monitor, record, analyze and report on all accounting and finance activities and provide related reports and recommendations
  • Review and evaluate existing quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable local regulations and authorities
  • Maintain professional and proactive communication with all department staff, internal and external customers
  • Assess and coordinate internal and external resources to provide feasible and sustainable services to customers
  • Oversee all processes to ensure that all aspects of accounting and finance activities are performed according to company standards
  • Safeguard QHSE compliance within the area of responsibility and contribute to the ongoing development of the QHSE policy
  • Ensure compliance with all rules, laws and regulations and safeguard the required operating licenses and permits for the Istanbul branch
  • Provide assistance to the Country Manager where needed on a day‑to‑day basis
  • Support the further development of existing processes and systems
  • Act as a contact for auditors and tax consultants regarding accounting issues
  • Support the implementation and realization of internal accounting rules and processes
  • Assume cross‑team and cross‑departmental project work
  • Support of Intercompany posting and balancing VAT Declaration and VAT Reporting

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree as a certified accountant or a similarly well‑founded commercial training or a degree in business administration
  • Relevant professional experience in a comparable field, especially in the preparation of financial statements
  • Good knowledge of and interest in international accounting and the corresponding standards
  • Strong PC skills, preferably with Windows and Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of CargoWise One is desirable
  • Fluent oral and written English is a must.
