About the role
- Cost Controller managing project controls and financial aspects for Metrolinx's GO Expansion program. Involves project management tasks, coordination with various teams, and cost oversight in the construction sector.
Responsibilities
- Organizing and attending project meetings
- Follow up tasks with internal leads and assist with schedule and cost management
- Maintain project progress data and handle any issues that arise
- Create and maintain Project Controls Minutes of Meetings
- Coordinate with Risk, Planners, Finance, IDD/BIM, Supply Chain, and Cost Controller on projects
- Aid cost control, scheduling, supply chain, and finance & project accounting groups as required.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related project controls construction experience.
- College and/or University degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work site environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees.
- Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge.
- Detail oriented.
- Must be able to travel to projects.
