About the role
- Data Center Solution Manager responsible for leading HVAC control solutions for data centers. Conducting market research, defining product strategies, and managing cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs and preferences specific to the data center vertical.
- Being recognized as the subject matter expert for HVAC and cooling equipment control in data centers.
- Define and execute product and solution strategies and roadmaps tailored to the Data Center environment.
- Define the ideal architecture for different types of data centers.
- Work with designers, developers, partners and marketers to create product specifications and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure alignment with industry standards and certifications (e.g., ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, …).
- Monitor product performance across various channels and make recommendations for improvement.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to deliver customized solutions for strategic accounts.
- Oversee pilot deployments and collect performance data for continuous improvement.
- Manage product pricing and profitability, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Work with the selected stakeholders to develop an efficient and cost effective deployment strategy.
- Develop and execute product launch plans for data center vertical.
- Collaborate with operational marketing to create and implement promotional campaigns to increase product awareness and sales across all sites.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure effective product positioning and messaging.
- Ensure efficient stock control and rotation across all sites.
- Ensure high quality standard of the solution.
- Establish and ensure the proper execution of the business plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC systems, building automation, or data center infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of data center cooling technologies (e.g., CRAC, CRAH, CDU, economizers,…).
- Be curious and stay informed about the latest technological trends that may have an impact on data center vertical.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and measure success.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience in hardware and software product customization is an important asset.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in clear and compelling ways.
