Responsibilities
- Assists clients with coverage changes in an automated environment supported by an imaging system; determines whether delayed or advanced billing is appropriate and invoices accordingly.
- Uses each client contact as an opportunity to review the entire account, round it out, and market as needed.
- Informs and educates clients about policy coverages, changes, exclusions, and insurance coverage needs.
- Provides technical support to producer(s) to benefit clients and support the agency’s strategic business goals.
- Prepares proposals in coordination with producer(s).
- Submits applications to eligible and appropriate carriers.
- Obtains client signatures on applications as necessary; follows up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies.
- Manages clients’ needs by producing binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and related items, verifying their accuracy.
- Prepares summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals as needed for account reviews.
- Remarkets renewals, contacts clients, creates renewal proposals, and handles other renewal activities in coordination with producer(s).
- Renews policies following agency standards; verifies each renewal’s accuracy and ensures all renewals are produced.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager supporting clientele within Florida.
- Full knowledge of insurance products, markets, and usage.
- Adequate knowledge of rating procedures, coverage, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and underwrite assigned client and prospect lists.
- Active P&C 2-20 license required.
- Applied Epic proficiency preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- CIC or CRIS designations preferred.
