Financial Services Officer providing credit and investment services for Access Credit Union members. Responsible for loan assessments, member relations, and promoting financial products.
Responsibilities
Identify member needs and provide a full range of credit union products and services
Recognize and/or respond to members' needs on deposit and lending services
Communicate to the member all terms and conditions of any credit, deposit or investment product being presented
Complete credit applications thoroughly ensuring all relevant information is included
Work directly with the loans processing department and deposit centre to ensure timely and accurate administration
Control loan delinquency through communication with the member
Maintain and document a systematic collection procedure for early identification and follow up of problem accounts
Recognize and/or respond to member needs for opening, updates and closing of accounts
Ensure instructions outlining the conditions of loans, deposits, and investments are clearly laid out
Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to credit union policies and procedures
Requirements
Grade 12 diploma
Diploma/Certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution with focus on business or finance or equivalent
Understanding and adherence to relevant policies and procedures
Previous customer service and/or sales experience
Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner
Ability to identify and willingness to act upon sales and service opportunities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure
Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions
Knowledge of Access Credit Union’s products and services
Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures
Knowledge of risk management within the financial industry
Proficient computer skills
