About the role

  • Hardgoods Regulatory Engineering Risk and Compliance Supervisor overseeing EU/UK compliance and risk assessments. Collaborating with teams on regulatory requirements and product safety improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee EU/UK regulatory compliance for hardgoods.
  • Lead risk assessments across the product lifecycle.
  • Guide engineering, design, and commercial teams on regulatory requirements.
  • Manage compliance documentation and product commercialization.
  • Coordinate testing with external labs and internal quality/R&D teams.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess product impact.
  • Support internal audits and external inspections.
  • Resolve compliance issues and drive product safety improvements.
  • Train teams on regulatory, safety, and compliance processes.
  • Apply EN/ISO standards and frameworks including CE, RoHS, REACH, WEEE, EMC, LVD, and GPSR.
  • Implement 3M Product Safety and Product Stewardship processes.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional Product Safety teams.
  • Lead and support direct reports, including performance metrics.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to support global team needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline
  • Significant experience in Product Compliance, Product Stewardship, Sustainability, Materials science, Quality, or related Regulatory Affairs
  • Previous project management experience
  • Previous experience in people management
  • Master’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline from an accredited institution (optional)
  • Experience working with high-risk applications, global customers, global regulatory bodies, and government agencies (optional)
  • Strong project management skills and proven ability to work independently, manage multiple global projects, have a thirst for learning, and drive for tangible results in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation capabilities
  • Exceptional research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
