About the role
- Water Resources Engineer applying technical skills to various flood control projects. Collaborating with engineers on stormwater infrastructure and regulatory compliance in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with a variety of flood control projects (including levee systems, pump stations, and dams)
- Assist engineers with stormwater infrastructure projects
- Conduct Field investigations required to support design/study assignments
- Knowledge and research of regulatory/permitting requirements.
- Drafting of design packages and contract drawings.
- Preparation of permit applications H&H modeling and related reports
- Assist with the Preparation of Technical Studies and Reports, Project Specifications
- Cost estimating support services
- Construction administration
- Interface with clients, regulatory officials, and contractors as required
- Attendance at client or public meetings, as needed
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, required with a focus in water resources preferred
- EIT required, PE a Plus
- 3-7 years of experience working in the field of Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Prior H&H experience is highly desired
- Strong technical writing skills
- Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D will be required
- Experience with GIS, Hydraflow, HydroCAD, & HEC-RAS software is desired
- Experience with local, state, and federal flood regulations, including knowledge of FEMA maps and studies, is a plus.
