About the role

  • Water Resources Engineer applying technical skills to various flood control projects. Collaborating with engineers on stormwater infrastructure and regulatory compliance in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with a variety of flood control projects (including levee systems, pump stations, and dams)
  • Assist engineers with stormwater infrastructure projects
  • Conduct Field investigations required to support design/study assignments
  • Knowledge and research of regulatory/permitting requirements.
  • Drafting of design packages and contract drawings.
  • Preparation of permit applications H&H modeling and related reports
  • Assist with the Preparation of Technical Studies and Reports, Project Specifications
  • Cost estimating support services
  • Construction administration
  • Interface with clients, regulatory officials, and contractors as required
  • Attendance at client or public meetings, as needed

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, required with a focus in water resources preferred
  • EIT required, PE a Plus
  • 3-7 years of experience working in the field of Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Prior H&H experience is highly desired
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D will be required
  • Experience with GIS, Hydraflow, HydroCAD, & HEC-RAS software is desired
  • Experience with local, state, and federal flood regulations, including knowledge of FEMA maps and studies, is a plus.
