About the role
- Chassis Driveline Engineer supporting design, development, and validation of driveline systems for Hyundai vehicles. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Engage in the end-to-end design and engineering of driveline systems and components for 4WD and AWD vehicles
- Engage in the end-to-end design and development of axle assemblies and shaft components
- Engage in the end-to-end design and development of advanced differential systems
- Support comprehensive DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) test plans
- Support troubleshooting driveline-related issues throughout the development cycle
- Work closely with cross-functional teams – including Vehicle Dynamics, Suspension, Powertrain, NVH, Manufacturing, and Quality
- Collaborate with suppliers for driveline components
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards
- Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation
- Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers and team members
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field
- 0-7 years of professional experience in chassis and suspension design, with a focus on driveline systems
- Experience specifically with pickup trucks, SUVs, or off-road vehicles is highly preferred
- Experience working on electric or hybrid vehicle suspension systems
- In-depth understanding of vehicle ride and handling, off-road performance, and NVH considerations specific to heavy-duty trucks and SUVs
- Good working knowledge of vehicle body and NVH performance
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., CATIA V6, NX, Solidworks, etc.)
- CATIA V5 experience highly preferred, but not required
- Experience using engineering tools to create and modify 2D and 3D drawings
- Familiarity with PDM (e.g., ENOVIA V6) or Windchill PLM systems
- Knowledge of mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering design and processes
- Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
