About the role

  • Chassis Driveline Engineer supporting design, development, and validation of driveline systems for Hyundai vehicles. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in the end-to-end design and engineering of driveline systems and components for 4WD and AWD vehicles
  • Engage in the end-to-end design and development of axle assemblies and shaft components
  • Engage in the end-to-end design and development of advanced differential systems
  • Support comprehensive DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) test plans
  • Support troubleshooting driveline-related issues throughout the development cycle
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams – including Vehicle Dynamics, Suspension, Powertrain, NVH, Manufacturing, and Quality
  • Collaborate with suppliers for driveline components
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards
  • Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers and team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field
  • 0-7 years of professional experience in chassis and suspension design, with a focus on driveline systems
  • Experience specifically with pickup trucks, SUVs, or off-road vehicles is highly preferred
  • Experience working on electric or hybrid vehicle suspension systems
  • In-depth understanding of vehicle ride and handling, off-road performance, and NVH considerations specific to heavy-duty trucks and SUVs
  • Good working knowledge of vehicle body and NVH performance
  • Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., CATIA V6, NX, Solidworks, etc.)
  • CATIA V5 experience highly preferred, but not required
  • Experience using engineering tools to create and modify 2D and 3D drawings
  • Familiarity with PDM (e.g., ENOVIA V6) or Windchill PLM systems
  • Knowledge of mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering design and processes
  • Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
