Chassis Driveline Engineer supporting design, development, and validation of driveline systems for Hyundai vehicles. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and performance.
Responsibilities
Engage in the end-to-end design and engineering of driveline systems and components for 4WD and AWD vehicles
Engage in the end-to-end design and development of axle assemblies and shaft components
Engage in the end-to-end design and development of advanced differential systems
Support comprehensive DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) test plans
Support troubleshooting driveline-related issues throughout the development cycle
Work closely with cross-functional teams – including Vehicle Dynamics, Suspension, Powertrain, NVH, Manufacturing, and Quality
Collaborate with suppliers for driveline components
Ensure all designs comply with relevant regulatory and industry standards
Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation
Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers and team members
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or a related field
0-7 years of professional experience in chassis and suspension design, with a focus on driveline systems
Experience specifically with pickup trucks, SUVs, or off-road vehicles is highly preferred
Experience working on electric or hybrid vehicle suspension systems
In-depth understanding of vehicle ride and handling, off-road performance, and NVH considerations specific to heavy-duty trucks and SUVs
Good working knowledge of vehicle body and NVH performance
Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., CATIA V6, NX, Solidworks, etc.)
CATIA V5 experience highly preferred, but not required
Experience using engineering tools to create and modify 2D and 3D drawings
Familiarity with PDM (e.g., ENOVIA V6) or Windchill PLM systems
Knowledge of mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering design and processes
Valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
