About the role

  • Oversee underwriting, credit monitoring, and portfolio management for commercial and corporate banking relationships
  • Ensure the quality and growth of client portfolios while identifying new business opportunities
  • Manage credit risk and portfolio quality by analyzing financial data and loan requests to ensure compliance with policies
  • Partner with Relationship Managers to build and expand client relationships through cross-selling and referrals
  • Oversee loan repayment and portfolio administration, taking action on past due accounts as needed
  • Lead loan structuring, renewal processes, and participate in credit approval presentations
  • Collaborate with internal teams across Treasury Management, Private Banking, Capital Markets, and more to deliver comprehensive client solutions
  • Advise clients on market trends and banking products to support their business growth
  • Participate in community and industry functions to promote the bank’s presence and reputation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years in Commercial, Corporate, and/or Credit Approval experience
  • 4+ years handling complex credit approvals
  • Reliable transportation and lawful driving ability by start date
  • Preferred: 2+ years sales experience
  • Preferred: 2+ years formal credit training
  • Preferred: CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certification
