About the role

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the new hire onboarding process, including preparation of materials, scheduling orientation sessions, and ensuring timely completion of onboarding tasks.
  • Facilitate orientation programs to introduce new employees to company culture, policies, and procedures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during their onboarding period.
  • Develop, organize, and deliver training programs that address skill gaps, enhance productivity, and support employee growth.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback surveys and adjust content or methods as needed.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to identify training needs and align programs with organizational goals.
  • Support ongoing professional development initiatives, including workshops, e-learning, and certification programs.
  • Track and maintain training records to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Recommend and implement innovative learning tools and methodologies.
  • Monitor key metrics such as onboarding timelines, new hire retention rates, and training satisfaction scores.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to management on the effectiveness of onboarding and training efforts.
  • Conduct scheduled training classes and in-field evaluations for new hires.
  • Travel throughout the market and serve on the front lines with the retail/events team as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in onboarding, training coordination, or employee development
  • Experience in field marketing, sales enablement, or home improvement/home services industries
  • Comfortable with conducting in person or virtual training
  • Proficiency in virtual training tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.) and content creation platforms (Canva, PowerPoint, or Photoshop)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM's
  • Public speaking and group facilitation
  • High attention to detail and follow-through
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Strong organizational discipline (keeps multiple onboarding classes on track)
  • Confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive employee information
  • Passion for employee growth, engagement, and development
  • Comfortable working a Wednesday-Sunday schedule
  • Comfortable with traveling throughout the market
  • Required to work a minimum of 10 shifts per month as a Brand Ambassador
  • Conduct in-field evaluations for new hires
