About the role
- Trademark Paralegal assisting in preparing and filing trademark applications at Merchant & Gould. Collaborating with foreign associates and maintaining trademark files in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the preparation and filing of design and utility trademark applications
- Establishes and maintains trademark files
- Reviews incoming correspondence from foreign associates
- On-going communication with foreign associates and attorneys
- Maintains and updates docketing
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships with attorneys and staff
- Performs other tasks and projects as assigned
Requirements
- BA degree and paralegal certificate or equivalent experience
- Relevant work experience with U.S. trademark prosecution filing
- Ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks
- Ability to concentrate on detailed work for up to 80% of worktime
- Ability to work comfortably with advanced computer software
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with a diverse group
- High level of responsibility, dedication, and accuracy required
- Work occasionally requires more than 37.5 hours per week
