About the role

  • Technical Sales Manager promoting solar energy product lines to core customers for OTT HydroMet. Driving growth and expansion with a focus on consultative selling and relationship building.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing strategies to identify, engage, and expand business opportunities with direct and indirect channels through consultative selling, funnel management, and cross-selling.
  • Building trusted relationships with customers by understanding their needs and providing solutions that advance their solar energy objectives.
  • Managing time and territory efficiently to maximize field engagement and customer impact.
  • Monitoring and staying informed of solar market and industry trends through collaboration, conferences, and publications.
  • Negotiating and executing customer-specific project contracts in collaboration with internal teams (Legal, Finance, Sales, Service, Customer Support).
  • Leveraging CRM tools for accurate forecasting, opportunity tracking, and KPI management.
  • Collaborating with leadership and sales operations to maintain a healthy and productive opportunity pipeline.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales or commercial experience in an industrial B2B environment; solar energy experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse technical and commercial audiences.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CRM systems for managing sales funnels and forecasting.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned region, with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
