Analyze use cases and stakeholder/product requirements and translate them into new system designs
Derive technical requirements across system, software, and hardware domains for energy system solutions such as wall and on-board chargers, battery systems, and electric powertrains using platform approach
Specify and design interfaces and functional behaviors between industrial trucks, battery systems, chargers or powertrain
Ensure the compatibility of energy systems when integrated with industrial trucks
Work closely with development, quality, and vehicle teams to solve complex technical challenges
Address and align technical topics with internal domain experts and international partners
Daily collaboration with SW Architect and System team in Germany
Coordinate with global development teams to ensure consistent system integration and continuous improvement
Evaluate, prepare, visualize, and present technical solutions
Use requirements engineering tools to clearly and consistently specify requirements and document architectural designs
Requirements
Minimum few years of professional experience in system designing regarding electrical components or systems, preferably in the embedded and/or energy systems field
Completed university degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer engineering or automation technology
Solid understanding of requirements engineering principles and practical experience with any established requirements management framework (eg. Polarion, Jama, Doors)
Familiarity with the V-model development process and its application in system engineering
Proficiency in modular architecture design and system decomposition
Experience with UML or similar modeling languages for system and interface specification (eg. IBM Rapidly, Enterprise architect, System Composer etc.)
Hands-on experience in the development of at least one of the following: Electrical chargers (e.g. wall chargers or on-board chargers); Electric powertrains (e.g. inverters, motor control systems); Battery technologies (e.g. battery management systems (BMS), battery control units (BCU))
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of German is a strong advantage but not mandatory
