About the role

• Software Systems Engineer developing software for integrated navigation bridge systems in naval applications. Analyzing requirements and deploying system software with a focus on quality and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and derive requirements for the software portion of an integrated navigation bridge system, taking into account synergies across multiple projects
• Implement system software based on the specified architecture, requirements, and regulations as part of the overall system solution
• Deploy and integrate the system software into development, reference, and target systems, and support commissioning
• Share know-how and develop best practices for creating, implementing, and validating software solutions within a system, also for other NSC projects
• Support service and final acceptance testing by organizing fault analysis and resolution
• Our projects are varied, our customers international, and our compensation is attractive in accordance with the metalworkers' collective agreement.

Requirements

• You have successfully completed a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification and have professional experience in software development and deployment of complex systems
• You have experience in requirements engineering and requirements management
• Ideally, you already have extensive knowledge in assembling and configuring navigation-bridge software based on Synapsis
• You possess strong abstraction and analytical thinking skills, as well as a quality-conscious and professionally flexible working style
• You are eager to work in the exciting field of NSC and willing to take responsibility for specific subject areas
