About the role
- System Analyst ensuring operational quality for financial crime applications at Luminor. Managing incidents and collaborating with various technical teams to maintain service continuity.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high availability and stability of area related applications
- Investigate and resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLOs
- Ensure proper incident escalations to senior engineers or vendors if needed
- Monitor application health, logs, and interfaces to detect and prevent service disruptions proactively
- Perform configuration tasks, application deployments, and scheduled maintenance
- Support incident post-mortems, root cause analysis, and preventive action implementation
- Document troubleshooting steps, known issues, and recovery procedures
- Collaborate closely with the service desk, DevOps, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and engineering teams
- Participate in testing and rollouts for patches, upgrades, and new feature releases
- Work with and contribute to Java codebases under the guidance of Senior Software Engineers and Tech leads
- Participate in code reviews and learn best practices in software development
- Assist in automating operational tasks and improving deployment pipelines
- Ensure adherence to compliance, data privacy, and security standards required in the banking sector
- On-call responsibilities, scheduled on a rotating basis across both weekdays and weekends
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in IT application support or software engineering, preferably in the financial services sector
- Skills in Java and Spring Boot are preferred, along with proficiency in tools like Jenkins and Git
- Knowledge of financial services architecture and integrations (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, message queues)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., NewRelic, Grafana, ELK)
- Preferably, practical knowledge on cloud-based application management in AWS
- Working knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) would be considered an advantage
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially incident, problem, and change management
- Strong analytical skills, service mindset, and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Availability for on-call rotations and incident support outside business hours
- Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level.
