System Analyst responsible for operational quality and support of applications in financial services. Collaborating with multiple teams to ensure high availability and stability.
Responsibilities
Ensure high availability and stability of area related applications
Investigate and resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLOs
Ensure proper incident escalations to senior engineers or vendors if needed
Monitor application health, logs, and interfaces to detect and prevent service disruptions proactively
Perform configuration tasks, application deployments, and scheduled maintenance
Support incident post-mortems, root cause analysis, and preventive action implementation
Document troubleshooting steps, known issues, and recovery procedures
Collaborate closely with the service desk, DevOps, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and engineering teams
Participate in testing and rollouts for patches, upgrades, and new feature releases
Ensure adherence to compliance, data privacy, and security standards required in the banking sector
The position includes on-call responsibilities, scheduled on a rotating basis across both weekdays and weekends
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
At least 5 years of experience in IT application support or software engineering, preferably in the financial services sector
Skills in Java and Spring Boot are preferred, along with proficiency in tools like Jenkins and Git
Knowledge of financial services architecture and integrations (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, message queues)
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., NewRelic, Grafana, ELK)
Preferably, practical knowledge on cloud-based application management in AWS
Working knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) would be considered an advantage
Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially incident, problem, and change management
Strong analytical skills, service mindset, and ability to work in high-pressure environments
Availability for on-call rotations and incident support outside business hours
Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level
