About the role

  • Survey engineer coordinating measurement teams for infrastructure projects with utilities and agencies. Involvement in construction measurement and documentation of gas, water, and electricity lines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination and deployment planning of survey crews for field pipeline surveys.
  • Coordination with project managers, site managers and external partners from utilities, municipal utility companies and construction firms.
  • Surveying and documentation of utility lines (gas, water, electricity, district heating) in accordance with the contract specifications.
  • Execution and analysis of engineering and construction surveys for civil engineering projects as well as GIS applications.
  • Preparation, calculation and visualization of survey data (e.g., using Trimble Access and Caplan).
  • Participation in pipeline routing and planning, including permit applications (crossing permits), and the preparation of route and as‑built plans.

Requirements

  • University degree in Surveying/Geodesy or Geoinformatics, or alternatively completed vocational training as a survey technician or geomatics specialist.
  • Ideally 2–3 years of professional experience in engineering surveying, geoinformatics, construction billing or a related field.
  • Experience working with various surveying instruments (preferably total station, GNSS rover systems such as Trimble or Leica).
  • CAD proficiency with AutoCAD, BricsCAD and Caplan (von Cremer) as data processing software — or the motivation to become proficient quickly.
  • Experience in pipeline surveying and producing route plans is a plus.
