About the role

  • Design and analyze structural systems for diverse projects from residential renovations to small commercial builds.
  • Spend 20-40% of time in the field conducting structural inspections, foundation assessments, and forensic evaluations.
  • Collaborate and communicate directly with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver solutions that meet tight deadlines.
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents while ensuring compliance with building codes.
  • Work on short timelines in a fast-paced environment and participate in both office and remote work as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
  • Previous experience working as a structural engineer required.
  • Design experience and residential structural experience preferred, but not required.
  • Technical proficiency with Mathcad, Bluebeam, and Autodesk products (Revit/AutoCAD).
  • Self-starter looking to grow with a small, ambitious engineering firm with advancement opportunities.
  • Strong communicator who can discuss complex issues with diverse stakeholders and deliver both good and challenging news professionally.
  • Willingness to perform field work (20-40% time) including structural inspections, foundation assessments, and forensic evaluations.

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule (in-office, field, and remote days); office located in Centennial, CO.
