About the role

  • Design and analyze structural systems for residential renovations and small commercial projects
  • Conduct structural inspections, foundation assessments, and forensic evaluations (20-40% field time)
  • Collaborate and communicate directly with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver solutions
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents ensuring compliance with building codes
  • Work full-time with a mix of in-office, remote, and field duties; opportunity to specialize and advance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with 1-2 years of structural engineering experience
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification required
  • Technical proficiency with Mathcad, Bluebeam, and Autodesk products (Revit/AutoCAD)
  • Strong communicator able to discuss complex issues with diverse stakeholders
  • Self-starter willing to perform field work and on-site inspections
  • Design experience and residential structural experience preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not available
