About the role
- Manage and direct all sourcing activities for assigned suppliers and products within Patient Care Solutions consumables
- Act as key interface between segment and suppliers to represent business strategies and needs
- Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels
- Lead supplier negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers
- Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement
- Manage claims and commercial sourcing activities including data analysis and negotiation support
- May include purchasing activities and use in-depth discipline knowledge and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy
- Act as resource for colleagues, may lead small low-risk projects, explain information, and develop team consensus
- Prioritize information for data analysis and propose solutions outside set parameters when needed
Requirements
- 5-6+ years experience in direct sourcing
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Advanced experience in Sourcing & Commodity Management
- Working experience with development and production of Medical Devices (desired)
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain or technical field related to Sourcing (desirable)
- Working experience negotiating pricing and contracts with suppliers
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
- Established project management skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employer will not sponsor visas
- Successful completion of a drug screen may be required
