About the role

  • Install, configure and maintain the company’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and access points;
  • Monitor network performance and identify potential issues or bottlenecks;
  • Use monitoring tools to ensure the network is operating optimally;
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect the network from threats and attacks. Apply security patches and updates as needed;
  • Provide technical support to resolve network and connectivity issues for end users;
  • Participate in the planning and execution of new network projects, including infrastructure expansion and integration of new technologies;
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, operating procedures and security policies;
  • Ensure network configuration backups are performed regularly and implement recovery procedures in case of failures;
  • Train and guide the support team and other employees on best practices for using the network and how to avoid common issues;
  • Stay up to date with the latest network trends and technologies and evaluate how new solutions can benefit the company;
  • Research and make recommendations related to server administration, firewalls, switches, etc.;
  • Perform tasks on core LAN machines such as disk, tape and backup management, system parameterization, operating system and application version updates, and application of fixes and patches;
  • Communicate clearly and simply about matters that affect local users, such as network service changes, new software versions, etc.;
  • Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of information under your management and monitor for security incidents and/or violations;
  • Promote the use of secure connections among users in your domain, focusing primarily on the network services and equipment you are responsible for;
  • Implement and help develop the network security policy;
  • Protect the company’s image by maintaining confidentiality of information.

Requirements

  • High school diploma;
  • Preferred: Technical or university studies in progress in Technology-related fields;
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS and NAT. Familiarity with network equipment such as switches, routers and firewalls.
