- Member of core engineering team, focused on developing services for eBay Live
- Collaborate closely with peers, product managers, business analysts, and operations teams
- Develop innovative solutions to meet functional and non-functional standards
- Follow agile principles, emphasizing ownership and initiative
- Participate in the entire development process from design to release
- Actively participate in code and ADR reviews
- Triage and debug production issues
- Mentor junior team members
Requirements
- BS/BA in Computer Science or related field or 10 years of relevant experience
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
- Thorough understanding of software development processes and best practices
- Proven experience in building large, reliable, scalable distributed systems
- Strong experience with modern programming languages. Java is a must
- Strong experience with core web technologies
- Proven experience in architecting scalable backend systems
- Hands on experience with GraphQL is a big plus
- Past experience with live commerce is a big plus
- Experience with web (javascript/nodejs) and/or native (Android, iOS) is a plus
