About the role

  • Prepare journal entries to record adjustments to monthly expenditures.
  • Compile detailed reports as required for monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Monitoring and review of payroll charges.
  • Providing certain expenses and revenue reports requested by other departments.
  • Assist with quarterly reports prepared for submission to the NY state.
  • Perform ad hoc financial and statistical analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
  • 2 years’ non-profit accounting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of grants management a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite – Especially Excel, Word is welcome.
  • Knowledge Sage Intacct preferred but experience with other financial systems is a plus.
  • Diligence and ability to manage multiple activities and individuals simultaneously.
