About the role

  • Reports to the Regional Business Manager and supports the Specimen Management business unit
  • Observe current clinical practice and recommend Best Practice process optimization across clinical laboratory and nursing processes
  • Provide clinical effectiveness and enhanced hospital operations
  • Field-based role with most time spent face-to-face interacting with BD customers; travel up to 75%
  • Foster partnerships with customers in a Clinical Process advisory capacity
  • Maintain product specialist knowledge for Specimen Management as product and guidelines evolve
  • Engage key opinion leaders within accounts and identify areas for improvement
  • Drive project goals and expectations to achieve process efficiency and department effectiveness
  • Ensure optimal workflow and product utilization
  • Facilitate project processes using best practices and financial analysis to achieve customer outcomes
  • Interview stakeholders and process owners in support of process improvement recommendations
  • Lead and partner in change management activities and engage stakeholders for buy-in
  • Deliver presentations and reports to Nursing, Laboratory, Infection Prevention, Occupational Health, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, and Senior Hospital Management
  • Continue ongoing collaborations to ensure continuous improvement stemming from projects

Requirements

  • Education in Life Sciences preferred with BS or BA required
  • MT ASCP, BSN or MSN, LEAN Certification or obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Strong financial and analytical skill and applications to selling tools
  • Effective communication, and presentation skills
  • Basic knowledge of Hospital and Laboratory IT (LIS data)
  • Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience and demonstrated consistent success in process improvement, best practices, and change management within the Medical Device/IVD industries
  • Sales and/or marketing experience in Medical Device/IVD industries
  • Duties require ability to integrate projects within BDX Sales Organizations and Marketing Departments
  • Excellent time management skills; travel up to 75%
