About the role
- Consultant specializing in Precious-Metals-Recycling/Refining processes, improving measurable workflows without operational responsibility. Focused on consulting in various related industries.
Responsibilities
- Participation in client projects (recycling/refining): capturing, analyzing and designing end-to-end processes (goods receipt, sampling, smelting, analytics/assay, intermediate storage/WIP, settlement/billing).
- Governance & controls: Development of practical control points (e.g., four-eyes principle, sampling, reconciliation with external refiners) and audit-ready documentation.
- IT enablement (process-oriented): Creation of process and data models and functional specifications; support for implementation in SAP-related and manufacturing systems (MM/PP/QM, MES/LIMS, reporting).
- Change & qualification: Preparation of SOPs, training materials and checklists; audit preparation and support.
- KPIs (concise): Maintenance of a small set of core KPIs such as recovery rate, loss rate and mass-balance variance for objective assessment of process and inventory quality.
Requirements
- Education: Degree in Business Administration (BWL) or Business Informatics; alternatively Accounting/Controlling with a strong affinity for process and data topics.
- Experience: Practical experience in precious metals recycling/refining and/or precious metals accounting; confident in formulating robust rules, controls and process documentation.
- Tool know-how: Proficient with SAP (especially MM/PP/QM, preferably CO-PC/Analytics), basic understanding of MES/LIMS and experience with reporting/SQL-based analyses.
- Work style & soft skills: Analytical, precise and structured; strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail; strong interface skills between production/laboratory, finance/controlling and IT; very good German and English language skills.
