About the role

  • Serve as the technical authority for ServiceNow solutions focusing on federal business workflows.
  • Design, develop, and oversee custom applications and workflows spanning multiple modules.
  • Participate in strategic and technical discussions with clients and partners.
  • Define and enforce platform governance, standards, and best practices for customization, integration, and data security.
  • Ensure that custom solutions remain upgradeable and sustainable.
  • Collaborate with functional SMEs, business analysts, and developers to translate complex business rules into platform designs.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with external client systems.
  • Mentor developers and administrators to strengthen the OCT’s custom development capabilities.
  • Oversee OCT’s ServiceNow implementations.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-7 years of ServiceNow platform experience with at least one full lifecycle implementation.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in one or more domains.
  • Exposure to AI/ML features within ServiceNow (predictive intelligence, virtual agents, etc.).
  • Experience leveraging Integration Hub and Flow Designer for automation.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of ServiceNow configuration, workflows, scripting (JavaScript/Glide), and integrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes and how they map to ServiceNow.
  • Experience designing enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions, including integrations with external systems.
  • Strong knowledge of data models, security (roles, ACLs), and platform performance optimization.
  • Exposure to Agile/DevOps practices (e.g., ServiceNow CICD, update sets, automated testing).
  • Ability to establish platform governance frameworks, including design standards, technical debt management, and scalability practices.
  • Deep integration experience (REST, SOAP, SSO, LDAP, API gateways, cloud platforms).
  • Knowledge of FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST, or other federal compliance frameworks.
  • Active Public Trust or Security Clearance eligibility.
