Responsibilities

• This pivotal role requires a seasoned leader who can seamlessly blend strong technical understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle with exceptional project management and business acumen. Your success is key to DeepLight’s growth.
• The Senior Scrum Master drives delivery success by overseeing complex AI and data science projects from inception through deployment. You will lead cross-functional teams (Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and business stakeholders) to ensure high-impact AI solutions are delivered within scope, budget, and timeline, specifically navigating the unique challenges of AI implementation.
• Responsibilities in this role include:
• **Project Leadership:** Lead and manage multiple concurrent Data, AI, and Mobile Internet Banking projects across the entire lifecycle.
• **Methodology Expert:** Establish and implement flexible project management methodologies, effectively combining Agile (Scrum) principles with traditional planning to suit complex AI development needs.
• **Risk & Governance:** Proactively identify and mitigate project risks unique to AI (data quality, model performance, ethical considerations, and regulatory compliance).
• **Stakeholder Alignment:** Facilitate communication between technical teams and senior business stakeholders, clearly communicating delivery updates and guiding expectations regarding AI capabilities and limitations.
• **Financial Control:** Manage large project budgets and resource allocation across teams.
• **Process Excellence:** Lead all Scrum ceremonies (planning, retrospectives), maintain comprehensive documentation, and monitor project KPIs for executive-level reporting.

Requirements

• We are looking for a certified leader with a proven track record of delivery in the data and AI space.
• Essential Capabilities:
• **Experience:** Significant demonstrable experience (7+ years) managing complex technology projects, with demonstrable success in delivering enterprise-scale machine learning or data science projects.
• **AI/ML Expertise:** Strong functional understanding of the complete AI/ML development lifecycle, from data preparation and model development to deployment and MLOps.
• **Methodology:** Proven experience with both Agile (Scrum Master proficiency) and traditional project management methodologies.
• **Financial Management:** Demonstrated experience managing budgets exceeding $1M and leading large, cross-functional, and often geographically distributed teams.
• **Governance & Ethics:** Solid understanding of data privacy, security requirements, and experience with AI governance frameworks and responsible AI best practices.
• **Stakeholder Skills:** Outstanding leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to manage complex stakeholder expectations.
• **Tools:** Excellent knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Jira, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps).
• Desirable Attributes:
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications (CSM/PSM).
• Master's degree in a relevant technical or business field.
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members.
