About the role

• SAP S/4HANA FICO Solution Architect driving financial innovations in a rapidly growing practice at Westernacher Consulting. Lead implementations, define cloud architecture, and mentor junior consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations, including client workshops, fit-to-standard analysis, and solution design.
• Translate business needs into scalable, cloud-based financial solutions, following SAP Activate methodology.
• Define and guide cloud architecture decisions, including integrations and custom extensions using SAP BTP.
• Drive process standardization and best practices adoption across Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) functions.
• Collaborate with technical teams on system configurations, developments, and data migrations.
• Support cloud migration strategies, optimization of existing SAP landscapes, and ongoing system enhancements.
• Ensure seamless integration of FI/CO with other modules (e.g., SD/MM) and third-party tools (e.g., Vertex).
• Provide thought leadership to clients and internal teams on S/4HANA Public Cloud capabilities and roadmap.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the practice.
• Travel to client sites as needed for key project phases.

Requirements

• 8+ years of SAP FI/CO implementation experience, including at least 3 full S/4HANA projects.
• Deep knowledge of S/4HANA Public Cloud, SAP Activate, and fit-to-standard approach.
• Hands-on expertise in GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Banking, and Cash Management.
• Strong Controlling experience: Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Product Costing, and COPA.
• Proven background in SAP FI/CO system integration with logistics modules (SD/MM).
• Experience working with cloud technologies, public cloud configurations, and multi-tenant environments.
• Familiarity with Vertex or similar tax engine integrations (preferred).
• Knowledge of data migration tools (e.g., Migration Cockpit, LSMW) is a plus.
• Exceptional communication and client management skills.
