About the role
- Senior Property Claims Adjuster for Aviva handling lifestyle claims, including cottages and watercraft. Responsible for customer service and claims resolution while maintaining organization and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze policies, appraisals, and technical reports to assess claim value and negotiate fair settlements.
- Effectively manage an active caseload of claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution in line with Aviva’s standards.

- Operate within your authority, using your judgment to resolve claims efficiently.
- Maintain detailed, accurate file records and adhere to all Aviva Specialty Claims protocols.

Requirements
- Minimum 3-5+ years of previous claims adjusting experience.
- Genuine interest in Lifestyle claims—whether it’s cottage properties, or watercraft.
- Progress toward or completion of the Insurance Institute Program (CIP/FCIP).
- A post-secondary diploma or degree.
- Provincial Licenses for the Atlantic provinces.
- Experience with and demonstrated ability to effectively handle watercraft or habitational claims in excess of $100,000.00.
