About the role
- Senior Project Manager leading high-impact, enterprise-level initiatives in procurement at McKesson. Driving strategic transformation, operational efficiency, and innovation across the procurement lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end execution of cross-functional projects that align with McKesson’s enterprise and S&P goals.
- Establish and enforce project governance frameworks, ensuring adherence to PMO standards, methodologies, and best practices across all initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders, business unit stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, transparency, and accountability.
- Partner with change management and communications teams to develop and execute strategies that drive adoption of new tools, processes, and systems.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including project milestones and budget adherence.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance project delivery, and scale best practices across the S&P portfolio.
- Deliver high-quality, data-driven updates and presentations to S&P Leadership and executive stakeholders, supporting prioritization and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of progressive project management experience, preferably in a procurement, supply chain, or enterprise operations environment.
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale, cross-functional projects with significant business impact.
- Formal project management training; PMP, PRINCE2, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of change management principles and tools.
- Familiarity with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
