- Senior Project Manager responsible for managing aerospace projects from conception to completion. Ensuring project performance meets customer requirements, budget, and timelines while supporting business development.
Responsibilities
- Support business development and bid activities, including requirements capture, scope definition, cost estimation, and scheduling
- Responsibility for the performance of projects within your area of responsibility
- Own programme financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, and cost control
- Develop and maintain integrated programme plans, budgets, and schedules
- Identify, assess, and mitigate programme risks
- Ensuring that the customers’ requirements are being met and achieving maximum efficiency and economy compatible with the quality required by the customer
- Driving continuous improvement with your area of responsibility
- Ensure compliance with the relevant Quality standards and business and customer processes
- Ensuring the security of data and information received in-confidence from clients
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- HND/degree level within an Engineering, Project Management or Business/Operational Management field or/and be able to demonstrate experience and proven capability
- Recognised Project/Programme Management qualification (e.g., APM, PMP, MSP) preferred
- Significant experience in delivering successful projects
- Exceptional KPI Ownership & delivery focus
- High level of contractual and financial acumen
- Significant / Aerospace / Defence sector experience preferably within an Engineering Services business
- Experience of performance management of people & teams
- Experience of working with diverse and multiple stakeholders, in a complex environment
