About the role

  • Provide project leadership and guidance from project conception through to project delivery; to the customer and to conduct project feedback reviews at the appropriate time
  • Development and management of costs with ongoing estimates to completion of projects
  • Development, planning and management of the project schedules and payment milestones, while providing contingency planning where required, to ensure a timely delivery
  • Managing the contractual scope content ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed
  • Risk and Opportunity management; ensuring that all risks and issues are identified and mitigated
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, internal and external, maintaining excellent relations with customers, peers, Engineering, and global teams
  • Act as the focus for project-based activities and perform other related duties as assigned or requested
  • Focused on the execution of outage activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures
  • Ensure projects meet financial/commercial parameters and achieve customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • 8+ years of Project Management experience within the Nuclear Power Generation industry
  • Ability to travel 30% annually
  • Ability to gain unescorted access to a Nuclear Power facility in the U.S. or Canada
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport
  • Ability to work at customer site as required
  • P. Eng. Certification (Desired)
  • PMP Certification (Desired)
  • Experience with Steam Power systems either in a Nuclear, Fossil or Industrial power plant setting (Desired)
  • Practical knowledge of GE Vernova products is a plus but not necessity (Desired)
  • Attention to detail and time management skills to ensure deadlines are met
  • Clear thinker, detail oriented, insightful, quantitative, and results oriented
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills for technical and business audiences
  • Able and willing to take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks
  • Able to work successfully in a matrix environment, executing multiple assignments and priorities
  • Continuous improvement “mindset” with an ability to identify, influence, and implement better ways to execute an activity or process
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and working knowledge of Primavera P6
  • Strong verbal, oral and written communication skills and customer focused mindset
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
