About the role

  • Design elegant, user-centered experiences for Bumble Date, contributing to the broader design direction and systems.
  • Shape product flows, interactions, and visual design that promote trust and emotional connection.
  • Collaborate with UXR, PMs, and Engineers to validate ideas, synthesize insights, and evolve designs iteratively.
  • Apply AI-powered tools and methods to accelerate exploration, improve accessibility, and personalize experiences responsibly.
  • Contribute to shared UX patterns and design standards that scale across Bumble’s ecosystem, ensuring cohesion and craft excellence.
  • Present design rationale clearly and persuasively, helping teams understand how design choices connect to user and business value.
  • Model our Bumble core competencies: collaborate with purpose, take ownership, adapt with agility, and deliver from insight to impact.
  • Role-model our values of Courage and Respect, ensuring every design decision reflects empathy and inclusion.

Requirements

  • You’re an experienced end-to-end product designer with a track record of delivering thoughtful, high-quality experiences on mobile platforms.
  • You love working collaboratively across disciplines — you thrive in spaces where ideas are shared, challenged, and elevated together.
  • You balance user insight, technical feasibility, and business context to design solutions that resonate globally.
  • You have strong visual and interaction design skills, with expertise in tools like Figma, FigJam, and modern prototyping software.
  • You’re fluent in inclusive design principles and accessibility standards, and you bring a global mindset to your work.
  • You have curiosity about how AI can enhance creativity and personalisation, and you use these tools ethically and with intention.
  • You embody Bumble’s values of Joy, Courage, and Curiosity, using design to foster empathy and connection.
  • You take ownership and see projects through from discovery to delivery, demonstrating an agile, proactive mindset.
  • Typically requires 6–9 years of experience, though we welcome candidates with alternative backgrounds that demonstrate equivalent skills.
