About the role

  • Provide people management leadership: hire, set goals, develop staff, manage performance and compensation, handle disciplinary actions
  • Oversee and lead a highly complex and diverse treasury liquidity function for an area of significant risk, complexity or scope
  • Provide coaching, mentorship and guidance to practitioners, business and executives within area of expertise
  • Manage and oversee the overall discipline and strategy for liquidity risk while aligning to enterprise best practices
  • Serve as strategic partner to leadership on portfolio and financial management, recognize emerging trends and identify operational efficiencies
  • Facilitate strategic discussions and provide thought leadership to executive audience, producing roadmaps/deliverables/short-to-long term goals
  • Set operational team direction and collaborate to execute on common goals; focus on 12+ month planning
  • Develop methodologies for stress testing and liquidity strategies to optimize TD US liquidity profile
  • Lead establishment of cashflow forecasting, contingency planning, early warning indicators, Intraday risk management and Limits
  • Coordinate the Bank's representation to 2nd LoD auditors and regulators and lead ongoing reviews with 1B, 2nd line and 3rd line functions
  • Work with product areas to evaluate major products and new/existing product offerings
  • Act as subject matter expert and represent Liquidity Risk Management on internal/external committees
  • Work with business leaders to develop and execute business plans, identify opportunities, and implement enhancements to programs/processes/policies
  • Ensure compliance with Bank and industry Code of Conduct and maintain a culture of risk management and control
  • Build, retain and develop an engaged, diverse team; foster inclusive leadership and a high-performance culture
  • Manage employees in compliance with HR policies and conduct Quarterly Check-Ins to drive accountability

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience
  • People management leadership experience (hiring, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, disciplinary actions)
  • Expertise in liquidity risk management and quantitative analysis
  • Experience developing methodologies for stress testing based on customer and market behavior
  • Experience developing liquidity strategies to optimize liquidity profile
  • Experience establishing cashflow forecasting, contingency planning, early warning indicators, Intraday risks and Limits
  • Experience coordinating with 2nd Line auditors and regulators
  • Experience working with product areas to evaluate new and existing product offerings
  • Ability to act as subject matter expert and provide guidance/advice to internal/external partners
  • Experience participating on internal/external committees and representing Liquidity Risk Management
  • Strategic planning and portfolio/financial management experience
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk appetite
  • Ability to protect organizational interests and escalate non-standard, high-risk transactions
  • Demonstrated inclusive leadership and talent development
  • Occasional domestic travel
