Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal guidance on commercial agreement templates managed by our Operations team
• Develop and maintain comprehensive playbooks to establish critical legal and risk thresholds in commercial contracting
• Serve as the primary escalation point for Legal on commercial matters
• Monitor legal developments affecting commercial operations and proactively advise on impact to business practices
• Lead legal implementation of corporate changes across the Kahoot! Group, including inter-company agreements and group reorganization activities
• Manage the administration of employee and management incentive programs with support from external counsel
• Coordinate corporate legal work supported by external counsel
• Act as first-line coordinator for M&A transactions, working closely with external deal counsel to ensure seamless execution
• Support the Finance team with annual reporting requirements and other financial compliance matters
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance and business teams to enable growth while managing risk

Requirements

• Law degree and admission to practice in Norway
• At least 5-7 years of legal experience, both in law firm and in-house settings, with significant commercial contracting and corporate law expertise
• Corporate governance expertise, including equity programs, cap table management and inter-company structures
• M&A transaction experience, including due diligence, deal structuring and post-closing integration
• Technology sector experience preferred, with understanding of SaaS/platform business models
• Exceptional commercial judgment with the ability to balance legal risk against business objectives
• Strong project management skills with experience coordinating complex, multi-jurisdictional matters
• Excellent communication abilities in English and Norwegian
• Detail-oriented approach with ability to manage multiple high-priority matters simultaneously
