Responsibilities
Provide expert legal guidance on commercial agreement templates managed by our Operations team
Develop and maintain comprehensive playbooks to establish critical legal and risk thresholds in commercial contracting
Serve as the primary escalation point for Legal on commercial matters
Monitor legal developments affecting commercial operations and proactively advise on impact to business practices
Lead legal implementation of corporate changes across the Kahoot! Group, including inter-company agreements and group reorganization activities
Manage the administration of employee and management incentive programs with support from external counsel
Coordinate corporate legal work supported by external counsel
Act as first-line coordinator for M&A transactions, working closely with external deal counsel to ensure seamless execution
Support the Finance team with annual reporting requirements and other financial compliance matters
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance and business teams to enable growth while managing risk
Requirements
Law degree and admission to practice in Norway
At least 5-7 years of legal experience, both in law firm and in-house settings, with significant commercial contracting and corporate law expertise
Corporate governance expertise, including equity programs, cap table management and inter-company structures
M&A transaction experience, including due diligence, deal structuring and post-closing integration
Technology sector experience preferred, with understanding of SaaS/platform business models
Exceptional commercial judgment with the ability to balance legal risk against business objectives
Strong project management skills with experience coordinating complex, multi-jurisdictional matters
Excellent communication abilities in English and Norwegian
Detail-oriented approach with ability to manage multiple high-priority matters simultaneously
