About the role

  • Provide specialist expert advice and program operations support on all aspects of privacy & data protection to the Chief Privacy Officer (CPO)
  • Conduct privacy & AI governance reviews of vendors, products, and internal programs involving the processing of personal data
  • Handle and respond to data subject rights (DSR) requests and other privacy inquiries
  • Maintain and update internal and external privacy and data protection policies, standards, guidance, and other documentation
  • Create customer-facing FAQs, data sheets, and documentation related to personal data processing for Trust Center materials
  • Support audits, assessments, and certifications; respond to customer privacy and security questionnaires
  • Facilitate due diligence and transitions in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures as needed
  • Advise Sales & Marketing on privacy & data protection requirements for marketing activities
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Procurement, Security, Product & Engineering, IT, HR, Sales, and Marketing teams
  • Provide expert support in internal investigations, security incidents, and data breaches
  • Monitor privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, and AI governance laws, regulatory trends, and industry best practices
  • Drive internal training and awareness; identify training needs and deliver privacy training
  • Support the CPO in privacy program management and operations to minimize company privacy & data protection risks

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-time experience on privacy/data protection, data governance, and AI governance laws and program operations
  • 3+ years of experience in the tech industry, with at least 2+ years in the B2B tech industry
  • 2+ year conducting privacy & AI governance reviews, including recommending appropriate risk-minimization controls
  • Qualified US attorney
  • Experience handling privacy reviews, data subject rights (DSR) requests, data processing agreements (DPAs), SCCs, DTAs, BAAs, etc.
  • Experience supporting security incident & data breach response and internal investigations
  • Experience supporting audits, assessments, certifications, and responding to customer privacy and security questionnaires
  • Ability to advise Sales & Marketing on privacy & data protection requirements
  • Collaboration experience with Legal, Security, Engineering, Product, Marketing, HR, Sales, and cross-functional teams
  • An advanced (master’s or doctorate) law degree
  • Completion of privacy & data protection-related courses and/or certifications
  • Nice-to-have: Experience in the enterprise cloud software tech industry; first-principles, risk-based, data-driven decision-making; highly developed people skills; experience using privacy program management tools.
