About the role
- Senior Full Stack Software Engineer designing and developing user interfaces and backend services for GM’s next-generation eCommerce. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for designing and developing high-performance user interfaces and scalable backend services
- Architect and develop front-end applications using React, Remix, and Shopify Hydrogen
- Build cross-platform mobile solutions with React Native
- Lead enterprise-grade Shopify implementations, including custom storefront development and optimization
- Write scalable, maintainable code using TypeScript and modern web architecture
- Optimize storefront performance for speed, SEO, accessibility, and conversion
- Integrate with backend services via GraphQL and REST APIs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and DevOps
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
- Advanced proficiency in React, React Native, and TypeScript
- Strong understanding of performance optimization for storefronts
- Experience with Cloudflare or similar edge computing platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and monitoring tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with Next.js and design systems
- Hands-on experience with Remix and Shopify Hydrogen (preferred)
- Proven track record in enterprise Shopify implementations (preferred)
- Experience with Shopify Plus, Liquid, and custom storefront APIs (preferred)
