About the role

  • Senior Embedded Software Developer at NewTec working on safety-critical systems in diverse industries. Leading project teams and developing embedded software solutions with a societal impact.

Responsibilities

  • You work on new development and the further development of embedded software across various industries.
  • You lead, in a technical capacity, small to large project teams on exciting topics and, together with your colleagues, develop state-of-the-art software for safety-critical systems such as a blood glucose meter (Medical), a drive-by-wire control unit (Automotive), an exoskeleton (Industrial), and many more.
  • You apply your existing know-how where it matters — e.g., in requirements engineering, creating software architectures and designs, and programming (including C/C++), or as an integrator of software modules and in software testing according to the V-model.
  • You engage in direct technical exchange with customers to develop innovative products in collaboration with our clients.

Requirements

  • Ideally you have a degree in a technical or scientific field (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Medical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Mechatronics, Mathematics, Physics, Biology) or a comparable qualification.
  • You have several years of professional experience in embedded programming and model-based software development (UML, C/C++).
  • You have hands-on experience in developing software architectures and data communication.
  • Ideally, you also have experience working in process-driven projects.
  • Strong team skills, excellent communication, and initiative are pronounced personal strengths.
  • Your profile is rounded off by very good German and English language skills.
